When I was struggling with Preeno's health (crop and respiratory infection), he had clicks and quiet chirps during the night. They were on and off too so I know how you feel.
With antibiotics, it's normal to see increased symptoms before your bird gets better! So stay positive and continue medicating for the stated period of time. Have you noticed any trends/patterns with his wheezing?
I recommend keeping a journal - note down what he eats and his activities, when the wheezing is worse, medicating and anything worth noting down. I did this when Preeno was poorly and it really helped me stay sane. It's also good to refer back to if needed, since you may not remember every single detail. I hope the medicating isn't too stressful?
