So sorry about Baylee's passing. The sudden, unexpected passing of a beloved companion parrot is a rough thing to experience, as too many of us here know. Know in your heart that you gave Baylee a good life and lots of love.

Thanks everyone today I started crying when my mom bought bananas! Right now I can’t see them and not even touch them they were her favorite fruit I always had to share with her whenever I had one in my hand..

It was so sudden that I still go to her cage area and then realize she is not there Or I hear birds from the outside and think is her and then remember it isn’t… it hurts too much and for now no new animals/birds for me. My mom and me agreed that I will put her cage away in the basement and when the right time comes I might adopt another one.

She died in my hands today 40 minutes ago…i feel like my soul is broken in 1000 pieces. I think it was a stroke.

Yeah I decided to go to the vet when I saw that she was acting weird but she went downhill fast there was no time for doing anything

Scooter the CAG passed in much the same way as Baylee and Bella. It was on a holiday when most vets' offices were closed and the best I could get was having an off duty veterinarian call me to advise me. The call came too late and I was really powerless to do anything to help poor Scooter.

Missing a parrot we've lost is difficult. It took me a long time to stop greeting Scooter in the morning and when I returned from being out. The sudden realization that she wasn't there always hit me hard. Grieving a lost parrot is just as rough as with any family member. It's not something you ever really "get over," but in time it doesn't hurt as much and the good memories of the parrot help ease the pain of loss.
