Found this in newly opened container of Pellet Berries for parrots

Purchased locally at either Petsmart or Petco.
It was a treat for the birds....not any more....

Very scary! I agree with calling the company.

I've bought Pellet Berries before and everything was fine with them, I also regularly get NutriBerries and have never seen mold of any kind.

Send this to Lafabers THEY SHOULD BE APPALLED and disgusted, I am! I have bought their products for my bird (even Many years ago when I had larger ones and was a less enlightened Paront) for a LONG time. They should at least replace it and give you some other things.

I sent them an email and will call them tomorrow. The container was well sealed which a concern.....

Those spores are on the grains sometimes & get into the flour.
Those are not the baked I guess...

Update
Lafeber responded to my email. I will be sending the food to them for analysis.
I think they are a good company. This is the only time I had an issue with their products.

Just want you all to inspect the food bfore dispensing. While it could be that I was unlucky, just wanted to give everyone a heads up about my experience.
They have quality products and good customer service, that is certain.

Contact them because it means there was a problem with the packaging - I mean LaFeber directly with the package number. with that expiration date it should not look like that.

Probably not an issue with the nutriberries but it is a good idea to look closely at them.
Nutriberries are great little treats for my fids.

The Lafeber person respond to my email this morning. I gave her the number and expiration date of the container.
I just ups'ed the pellet berries to her so they can figure out what it is and how it came to be.
