It was, I didn't want to, but I went out and looked.

My husband just finished mowing the back yard and told me there's a pile of stripped feathers right next to the chair Kady and I sit in.

Well, now you know for sure it's hunting your yard. The aviary is fine but only if you are there. I wish I had an outdoor aviary!

Wow, this is so scary! I’m sorry you and Kady will no longer be sharing your yard time together. It definitely seems like the right thing to do though unfortunately...sounds like the hawk is hunting (and watching) your yard for sure.
