Hello! i hope everybody is having a wonderful start of the year :cantwait:

So after 5 years on zupreem nature, i decided to buy another bag for gandalf aaaand surprise, on all the websites it was out of stock, after doing some calls and research they told me that it will mostly never come back in stock in the spanish market (laws have banned getting a new bird).

I would like to know any recommendation on which pellets i should replace zupreem with, harrison is not an option because it will mostly leave the market aswel and i dont really know what to do.
Thanks in advance

Can you get Psittacus? I believe that is a Spanish brand?

Man I don't know  I feel like they bought a lot of things. But I don't think it was Psittacus.

Goldenfeast is theirs now.. And Nutribird is one the brands they have too. I think there was another brand they bought....

Found it! Higgins

zupreem nature
I just saw this on the shelves yesterday in Kiwoko. The mini one and the larger size.

Psittacus is a Spanish brand and is the one we are currently using - I rotate between the zupreem and psittacus to have options.

No it is not, but versele-laga sell Nutribird which I hear is decent also. @tka uses/d those pellets and other fokls too. Their hand rearing formula is my formula of choice. They have deals with Loro parque (as much as I dislike them) and other establishments so they are a huge company in Spain and I doubt they will leave. I am pretty sure they are an EU brand, (Belgian?)

If you need a bag of zupreem to transition, let me know if I can help.

yes i talked to the supplier and told me that is leaving thats why im trying to change him to something i can get easily. I just checked psittacus and i might give it a go, only thing is i dont really know which one to choose because they got so many types: high protein, maintenance....

Go with the one with your bird on the front. Sounds silly, but I think that is how they market it. So yours would be the high energy.

They say it is for Greys, Senegals and Macaws.
You can always speak with your vet to see if this is a good complete food for your bird or if they need a supplement of anything else.

There is also the Omega option if your bird has extra nutritional needs;

I've been trying the Nutribird as Zupreem is fading here in the UK too. Neither Dolly nor Frankie like it very much.
Frankie still gets his Harrison's but I am really struggling to get Dolly something she will eat.

That's a shame.

It is disappointing that there are no UK brands for parrot pellets (that I know of).
Have you ever tried Tropican?
Fingers crossed you find something she likes soon!

Ripley, who is super picky, took to Psittacus very quickly. We rotated through the Omega and High Energy. Definitely worth a try :)
