The thing is, he also has a pretty severe clip. His ability to fly (short distances) despite this coupled with his curiosity and lack of fear of being on the floor has been interesting

Awe sounds like someone was just trying to help move them and tidy them up when his beak slipped and tore them.. Poor lil guy... LOL, Probably worked hard on straightening them too.
