White on cheek is normal ?

Hello,
I am new to website. I have been reading many topics and I find very usefull informations here. I had many different birds also caiques but recently I got one more and this one seems different to me.
I do not know the age of bird but its been told me 8month (right on the photos), I have another one with 5month (left on the photos)

I know that caiques front feathers are yellowish until they become adult or first and second molting. Thats what I believe that bird is still kid.
However, I notice on her cheek white feathers, this type of feathers familiar with budgerigars but not seen in caiques. Then I start to consider if bird is too old maybe ?

Do anyone have experience about white on the cheek ? Is it mean age ? Or something else?

Thanks you already
Best regards,

Its very normal to see loosely defined small patches in the yellow coloration. Its very pronounced in young birds where the chest feathers are mixed yellow and white before settling to white on adulthood.

For me to be concerned it would need to be a very clearly defined blotch, which I dont see here

Thank you for answer, so you are saying that this bird is still baby? This white feathers on cheek dont define anything about her age is too old ?
I dont want so much difference between them. Female do not have the ring so I do not know the age but the boy born in May, female seller also told me that bird born in May but after I learn that he have given me fake papers. Trying to understand if bird is female as well as in same age with the male.
At the moment I am waiting veterinar DNA test.

Yes, this appears to simply be a young bird traight.... not all will have the white patch but some do. Likewise, some WBC chicks will have black head feathers and others wont. Appears to be immature feathers that'll change once the chick molts into adult coloration.

Without any information, I would actually guess that the "female" is the younger of the two birds just by the way she looks. She just looks younger than the male.

i always tell females from males by the dome of the skull. The males have a pronounced high dome. The females frontal skull is less elevated.

I was also calling that on budgerigars when I was petting them but this stress the bird sometime and bones are also young and it doesnt appear on when they are so young. Especially middle size parrots in my opinion. I will have my DNA test soon but however I observed today (female) is as shaking on him while he was lying on back. I observed like quite 5min and she seems (I hope if its she) really doing this as intercourse not just play. I really hope that parrot is a female and but not old. Because with my experience young birds do not shake their bum on their partners yet. But again I do not have much experience with caiques, every spiecies are different.

I know this that some caique babies have black feather on them but it dissepear but I especially wanted to choose the ones that dont have it already when they are kid. There is a big genetic tree ofcourse, both full orange head can provide black feathered babies but I wanted to reduce the chance atleast by physical looking :) Nobody will have pure blood anyway :) but I wanted to try my chance :)

where will I start:
1) Yes LOTS of people dedicate their time and energy to protect species integrity. Only in the USA is cross breeding tolerated. EVERYBODY ELSE is working hard to maintain pure blood strains.
2) ALL caiques come from a common parent ( belived to be the GTC) but ALL WBC babies carry the black head feathers from their BHC parents, losing them as they mature

I agree with you everything but not above, because some baby birds dont have black feather on them not a single. My bird didnt had too.
I also believe that first ones was GTC and mixing with BHC create big diversity
Anyway well, I got my DNA test and yes its another male. I am going to sue the seller by scamming and lying to me. Then I will need to find another bird but this time will be female :)
Thanks for all answers, hopefully will come back with other topics :)
