When Should First Visit Be?

Hi! I’ll Be Rescuing A Cockatiel Soon, After Completing Renovations, And Was Wondering When The First Vet Visit Should Be? I Know Quite Soon After Arriving, But How Soon? Wait A Week, A Month? As Soon As Arriving? When Were Your Birds’ First Visits? Thanks!

I have a caique and he is not a timid guy, so I wasn't worried about stressing him out.
Usually a breeder or store gives you a grace period (for a return) if a health check reveals a serious illness.
And if he has a minor health issue, the vet will give the bird the appopriate treatment.

I think all of mine had a check-up the first week.

All of mine have gone in within a few days. I want to get all of the "changes" and hard stuff out of the way as soon as possible so that we can just all relax and get to know each other without interrupting for a stressful vet visit.

Sweet Pea had her first vet Visit before she came to me Thanks to @SandraK . Bebe had his a couple days (a home visit) after he came to me while was still in quarantine. Because he was so freaked out and was biting both the vet and the tech, they barely got a small blood draw and fecal sample. He went in about week +after that and was no better with the vet. he was given a tiny whiff of gas so they could get better blood draw and exam.
