When Mousebirds ATTACK!

It is very very frightening! I thought my life was in danger!!!















NOT!!!!
I was running a bit late this morning{might be a clue}
I washed his face last night{might have made him MAD}
I had a green jacket on{same green jacket I wear a lot so...???}
I have no idea..but I was !
I put my arm in to get his dish, and ....float like a butterfly sting like a bee, he was all over my arm, ripping and tearing at my jacket. Too funny!
I sure am glad I have my birds to make me smile.

When birds attack... du-du-du-du... well, I've received some bites from Pike on occasional times. It first happened when I fetched Pike after holidays. He was very happy to see and hear me, yes, they have great memories, like dogs when owners return from work! But when I handled him he bit me real hard. This continued for a while. I couldn't let him settle on my shoulders because biting my neck was no fun! Luckily his behavior changed after feeding him a banana! So they tend to display some aggression if annoyed by circumstances. Glad to say Pike is behaving very well and Ike is eating me out of the house! Mousebirds are such fun as pets! Don't want to know what will happen if parrots turn against their owners! Outch!

About the only time I have found a mousebird to get nippy is if they are hungry. This is their way of saying: "I wnat food, NOW!"
