What's wrong with my budgie?

Every couple of weeks my budgie seems to have red marks on his head, Not sure where it comes I'll take a picture see if anyone can help me with the cause thank you

The picture is a bit too blurry to see, I'm wondering is he's moulting with new feathers coming in?

I have seen many budgies molting but not like this. When a bird goes thru a normal molt, there should not be skin that well visible, as in your budgie's case.

Yeast infection maybe? Or parasites?? Just a guess.

How is the skin on his feet?

@bradshly is that little pink patch about his cere skin?

I had a budgie who's face would be pink every few days. I was quite confused until I realised he had been enjoying his calcium block haha. But if its skin showing like that, I would also go with skin condition or parasites I had a budgie who went "bald" there after her severe case of scaly face started to clear up and the dried, crusty skin came off

I've seen bald patches on my budgies head when it was having a severe moult so this might just be that. Take a look at these pics in the links and see if your birds head is similar to this. If your bird is not moulting then I'd take it to a vet and get it checked out.

Some budgies molt that way depending on their mutation. It's normal You are just seeing increased circulation and blood feathers.

Make sure there is nothing pointy that he is rubbing his head on in the cage

It looks like moulting to me. My Dobby looked just like that a few weeks ago during his moult!
