I'm so glad those birds are there, rather than here in PA. If they were here, the Legislature and governor would enact laws to say the birds were "pests" and "dangerous" to the citizens. Then they'd have a reason to round the birds up and kill them.Very, very cute. The park district I work for has a small lake (Lake Arlington, Arlington Heights, IL) and they have martins nesting there in summer. The one problem is that those cute little birds have a tendency to dive-bomb the walkers/bicyclers going by since the paths are very close, if not right next, to the nests. It's got to the point where the AHPD has put up signs warning park patrons to beware of the birds.
