Please share pics or interesting information you have of any wildlife that is normal for you to see where you live.

I really love the squirrel pics (because they are cute and I have never seen one in real life) and many of the other pics of birds and animals that don't live in my country but I just realised (after hearing about Civet cats being a problem for @SumitaSinh) that it may be quite educational and interesting to hear about and see what animals others here regularly see and deal with in their yards or local areas.
I have seen some cool things! I live in the southwest, here are some photos of the birds I see commonly. Gambles Quail, Northern Harrier, American Kestrel, Verdin, Great-Blue Heron.;)

I got to go my two of favorite spots today. A nature preserve and a good birding spot that was in the drone pics from before.

There was a whole lot ducks around the nature preserve which was a bit surprising. Lots of smaller birds around hard to get decent pictures of them thou. Quite a few were hand out below a bird feeder with a red squirrel. And Canadian geese were around too. They also two black swan in a enclosure

The other spot just on the edge of town had a bunch of ducks I think Buffleheads and maybe diving ducks too, but they are skittish. There a type of Mergansers too. They had a red bill so I think common Mergansers? Still haven't got any good pictures yet. There were tons a minnows. According guy who also stop to take a look they were a type of shiners. He was happy to see them as there a couple of invasive speices that out compete them most of the time. There a crazy amount them! They cover most the streams coming out of the bridges. Its nowhere waterfowl seem to love there. Its basically an all you can eat buffet this time of year.

I went for short walk along my creek tonight. I found something very interesting American Wood Duck pair Wood duck - Wikipedia. Now mind you my pictures aren't that good it was getting dark outside IMG_20230425_191625~2.jpg IMG_20230425_191432~2.jpg IMG_20230425_191427~2.jpg
This type of duck is very spooky if you get too close, they will just fly away. They are one of the few perching ducks in North America. They nest in tree cavities. They need a hole about the size of a large mug and cavity within that hole. You very rarely see them in the cities. They like their peace and quiet. And not a lot of people around them.

I must be a wood duck!
Me too. I used to love to perch in trees when I was younger also. The last time I did that I was in my late 30's.
