I got him out of his cage and got him calm and was able to hold him on my finger! My friends sister has been raising birds for 40 years and begged me to start training him or he would just get more untamed.
So it went well he did nibble a little but I just kinds held him to my chest and pet him until he quit shaking. Then I was able to get him to step up and sit on my finger.
I know people here said not to grab him but i was very gentle and he didn't seem to freak out.
So I feel I made real progress but tomorrow will tell in how hard it is to get him out again.
I was not believing he was hand tame but I think he would have been far wilder if he wasn't hand reared.
