It's hard to believe that our lil guy is 12 weeks old today! He's doing amazing in his puppy classes. Learns super quickly, although it helps that he's super food motivated. Had only 1 'accident' in the house initially, which was really my fault.
He can sit, down, recall, watch me and leave it, all on queue. His ears just went all the way up yesterday!

also HOW DID YOU TRAIN HIM SO WELL AND QUICKLY???? My dog can sit.........and stay. (but to be fair, she is a mini-dachshund, and they're notorious for being hard to train......and she never got to go to any puppy classes because of Covi)

It really helps if your puppy is super food motivated. He will do anything for his treat. Those dogs less food motivated take much longer. Frankly this is the first pup I've trained that will bend over backwards to be food rewarded.

The class we attend has been reduced in size and follow the COVID guidelines. Last Tuesday there were 3 trainers to 5 pups, so we got a lot of one-on-one with them. It's an obedience club comprised of trainers whose own dogs have been trained through advanced obedience, agility, search & rescue, etc. Super great club!

Wow, that sounds lovely! Our dachshund is shockingly not food motivated at all!! Dachshunds are usually prone to obesity and will do anything for a treat, but she would rather just sleep under a blanket all day But that training class sounds amazing!!

Your puppy is beautiful!

One of my dogs is food motivated and the other is toy motivated so when they went through training treats were used for one and toys for the other.
