Most dogs should be walked daily, and I mean a real walk or activity, not just walked outside to eliminate. This depends on many things, such as breed, conformation, behavior, etc; have you asked your vet their recommendation? It’s not a one size fits all answer.
My 9 year old dog needs a minimum of a 3 mile walk daily barring extenuating circumstances, and if we have to skip the walk he will be swinging from the ceiling by the next day. Been doing this his whole life. My SO has a bulldog that will keel over if she steps outside to do anything other than pee if it’s more than 65 degrees outside.
