Vet question

Hi!! So i live in Saudi Arabia and searched everywhere for an avian vet and still can’t find even a single one! It is so frustrating all i can find are vets who treat all kinds of animals and don’t specialize in any kind, and of course I don’t trust them with my birds.

so I found a clinic and checked their “our staff” section on their website and found one that specializes in (small animals surgery and medicine)

what are your thoughts? Should i pay him a visit for a checkup or “small animals” doesn’t mean birds?

I could be wrong but I think "small animals" refers to animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, etc. You might be better off with a general vet that treats all kinds or an exotic animal vet. Otherwise, some of the more experienced members here could probably find you an avian vet in Saudi Arabia if they have a more narrowed down location. Oh and welcome to the avenue!

And yes, exotic animal vets are just vets that treat any animal other than cats and dogs. Thanks for the location but I don't have the link for avian vets around the world. I'll tag a few people who might know what to do though

Maybe this one? Elite veterinary Specialist Clinic in Riyadh? Seems like they might have at least a little experience in avian care

you could always call around and ask, I’m sure some vet offices would answer any questions about their services

Most vets, even those that only treat cats/dogs, may be able to direct you to a vet that can treat birds. So it´s worth calling the vets you can find and asking for some help

I tried all the links and sadly no results show up for my city.

I’ve taken my birds there a couple of times but they don’t seem to be experienced with birds.
