aww, sorry to hear this:( i see you've already been to the vet, but i was going to suggest doing the blood tests for zinc/lead for sure over the xrays for metal tox. weeble's xrays showed nothing, but her blood tests came back with both lead and zinc. also, her levels weren't that high, but she improved immediately with the chelation. have you checked the cage bars and playstands for signs of chewing or missing paint?

Oh I am sorry I missed all these replies! I got no notice! Anyway...here is an UPDATE and answers to a few of your questions. Dr. Diaz just called. The lead and zinc tests came back normal and the CBC looks excellent! So...we may be dealing with hormonal issues or dietary?
Jen, he started this early this year...long before Yuna came home.
Danita, he did not recommend anything.:( I am clueless still.:(
I will take a good long look at his diet, and with the SWS we will have some new things for him to play with, shred and forage.

It is very good it's not HMT or an infection.

Did they run an ABV DNA test as well?

Oh, a vitamin E/selenium deficiency can cause neurological symptoms as well.

No ABV test. Vitamin E? Is that found in something naturally? Is it brewer's yeast? It seems Susanne said to put Brewer's yeast and something else when we talked yesterday. I will have to call and ask her again.
Oh I know...bee pollen!
Someone{Gerard?} also mentioned calcium.

I'm happy to hear that the test results came back good, but I hope you find out what is causing the issue.

Re: *Update Post #74* Possible HMT In Cochise?

When I took Rowdy in for the weakness in her feet, the vet gave her an injection of vit E/selenium. Her pellets say it's in there so it seemed unlikely to me that that was the cause. I do live n an area though with selenium deficient soil and have to add selenium pellets to my horses' grain since it's not in the hay. So it's possible the fresh foods I give the birds is deficient as well.
