My son and his girlfriend are on their way to pick up a turquoise GCC for her mom's birthday. She had been a cockatiel breeder a while back and now has just 1 GCC but has been admiring the turquoise. I have found a few but TODAY the kids are getting her a turq! I didn't realize how beautiful they are. Can't wait to meet the new addition to their family.
(FYI.... The "kids" are expecting our very real grandson in July!! I will be NanaX2 very soon )

Hatch date was March 12th and she named it Tiki. Such a sweet baby!

When we were choosing Luca I REALLY wanted a turquoise. Blue is my absolute FAVORITE color, and they are just gorgeous. We couldn't find a breeder in the area and were very concerned about putting a little baby through the fear of a ride on a plane just for our pleasure. So we got Luca instead... I can't wait for his beautiful flights to grow in!

Also, congrats on the new addition!

Tiki is gorgeous, but i'm biased :o: she looks just like my Fiji! I was lucky that there was a turquoise GCC breeder just a few hours away, although I initially wanted a crimson bellied conure, but there are no breeders in California. I would love to have a flock of greenies, one in every color!

Congrats on your new grand baby!
