No breeding here but i successfully introduced an adult male to my adult female, and they get along great in the same big flight cage. I let them introduce each other at their own pace and from two separate cages, it took about a month before they wanted to live together. Cetainly it depends on the personalities as to whether they will like each other , but it's possible.

What species of birds do you already have Phillip? You've asked about lovebirds. There are no guarantees that any birds will pair up or even if they do there is no guarantee they will produce any offspring. It's a chance anyone takes when pairing birds up in hopes they will successfully breed. As mentioned above any birds should be introduced slowly from two separate cages so they can adjust to the presence of another bird. Even then you might expect fighting. Parrotlets are known to be mate aggressive. They can display this aggression to their mates just seeing other birds near their own cage and attack their mate because of a perceived threat. Some have been known to harm or kill their mates or chicks. During breeding season they are particularly aggressive. They require as much space as you can give them and even then males will be relentless with driving their hens to a nest box so much to the point they may not allow the hen enough time to come out and eat. Breeding is not without risk. I think you should interview a few different breeders and their experiences. I knew one years ago who ended up quitting with raising the parrotlets because of problems.

I would like for you to share what breeding experience you have and what supplies you have to prepare for it.

Edited to add... parrotlets can also become prolific egg layers which in the end is detrimental to the health of the hen. Strict husbandry and a healthy feeding regimen is suggested.
