tired parrotlet

My new boy is perching and eating normally in his cage but keeps sleeping under the paper towel in his cage (it doesnt have a bottom grate bc its old and was used as a mouse cage one upon a time im going to get a new one). he plays and chirps but regularly naps under the paper towel during the day and when i take him out he wont perch on me (just sits with his feet clenched) and sleeps in my hand. is this anything i have to worry about ? ive had 3 other parrotlets and this has never been a concern before. I am currently working on diet conversion since the breeder had him on all seed

He's a cutie. It doesn't sound alarming to me but I think a vet check is a good idea for any new bird.

Update on this: hes now much more energetic when hes with me and has started perching on my hand I think he just had to get used to diet conversion
