I love my creek because of the wildlife I get to see, ducks squirrels, coyotes, eagles, hawks. But in some ways it very dangerous too. October 4th there was shooting broad daylight and many of us were outside sitting. We got into garbage garage for our own safety.Police were called within minutes of the incident. The only description we could give them is 3 African American males one in pink shirt one blue shirt and one white shirt. That's not enough description and could fit broad number of people in the area. This is why
After being scared and tired of sitting outside and not being able see what creeps along that path day and night. I called the local council person begging pleading for help. I also called Mayor's office and police chief office. By good golly I was going to get this fixed one way or another. The complex keep our side reasonably mowed and trimmed, even the residents trim it back at times
The parks and recreation mows the other side and keeps it pristine looking. The walking trail is safe.
A couple weeks later the Street and maintenance for the city was out with brush hogs, tree trimming gear, work crews lightening repair crews the whole nine yards. This is the results
