the joy of doors

We have a Meyer's parrot who very much enjoys standing on top of doors. This in itself is not such a problem; however, she occasionally likes to chew up bits of door, which is not so good. Has anyone a) run into this problem and b) figured out how to stop it?

I use ceiling hooks an fishing line to hang various soural perches and swings around the home..attached are stuff to discover and chew.

This has kept mine off my stuff. And they seem feel a little fun at discover chew and things there. Lots if raise and treats when they use "their furniture "
