The 'grey' area between sane and insane...

I've always been fascinated with congo grey's, soooooo.........

Awww....a baby congo grey...

Awesome...TWO baby grey's.

THREE baby grey's!!!...kinda got carried away there didn't ya...

FOUR baby grey's!!!...have you totally lost it?!!!!

FIVE baby grey's!!!!! Are you out of your freaking mind?!!!!!!!!!

SIX BABY GREY'S!!!!!!!!!!! Now that's totally insane!!!! Quick, somebody get a gun and delete him from the gene pool before he reproduces!!!!!!

Yah, that's all of um'. They were only mine for the journey...I was just picking them up for a friend from one far away aviary and delivering them to another far away aviary.

I had to stop by my house in between so I could give them all the mid day hand feeding and the camera was handy so I thought I would get a pic or two before I loaded them back up for the journey to the aviary. It sure was tempting to keep one...or two...or six...

Believe me, I had to constantly tell myself No No NO!...especially since they were baby's and o-so ADORABLE!!!

I know myself all too well...I don't just get "a" bird, I get a 'flock' of birds, that's why I have a flock of macaws and a flock of eclectus.

My long time MBS weaknesses, besides macaws and eclectus, have been Congo Greys and Caiques so I knew I was in dangerous territory having all those cuties around. What surprised me about the baby greys was that they 'growled' at feeding time...I had no idea that they did that.

The pictures are a few years old, they have all gone on to their permanent homes. The pictures still bring back a wonderful memory for me of the day that I was surrounded by baby Greys.
