Wonderful news!Additional info. Can't confirm sex, but I am guessing male.
Cyprus was tested for parasites. Negative !
His wing and hips were also carefully examined. The vet also watched him walk. So far he seems to be just a healthy growing duck. Maybe growing a bit faster than his siblings but nothing to be worried about yet. The vet checked for fractures and there wasn't sign of any. So at the moment I am to promote exercise, keep feeding as I am and wait. In 2 months if he still has trouble with his wing or gait he will go in for a follow up.
I know. I am so proud, they are just the sweetest little trio. Jade and Lio are especially close and even preen each other's heads. The ducks are looking lovely!! So big now!
How are they getting on with the chickens?
They are so gorgeous. They have been going through their first molt to adult plumage and had a few goofy stages. You can still see some of the browned out feathers they are still dropping. When I clean their pond in the evening it is full of feathers.Shame on you!
God, they've grown so much. They went from super cute to amazingly handsome.
The green undertones are just gorgeous!
I am totally obsessed with cayugas now. They are wonderful companion ducks: soft spoken, eat all the stuff the chickens miss, very sweet natured, in 4 months or so I could get eggs (though I think I have 2 drake's).I had never seen ducks like these before until you introduced yours
