It was March 1st, 2008.
I had visited him once before. It was in the evening and he wasn't quite himself. However, he made a good enough impression that I wanted to come back during the day (rather than just walking away). So we scheduled another meeting some time during the week-end.
Boy what a difference sun makes
He was much more entertaining, much friendlier, much more outgoing. So we left with him.
When I got home, I had to wash his cage again. His former owner had kinda did it quickly while we went to get money (I wasn't sure whether I was going to take him or not, I didn't bring any money with me knowing there was a bank close by) but it really needed more cleaning. So I kept him in his carrier. Once the cage was cleaned, I put him in. I was told that when he was being birdsat, it would take him a whole day to come out of his cage and be social, so I figured I'd keep him in his cage and give him some space. That didn't fly well with him...he made it obvious he wanted out...so I opened the door and let him be. He then made it obvious he wanted to be with us...so I obliged again.
Here is a picture of the two of us on that first day.
He seemed to love the camera as well (all taken that first day..)
