@Shezbug is amazing!! She sent our flock a gift certificate for a Get Serious Toy Box from Seriously Nutz. And @Macawnutz was super helpful in helping me place the order and made their toys just right.

Buzzard got a gorgeous toy with all of his favorite things: thin, cross-cut pine, plastic links and even crunchy, corrugated cardboard rolls.


Luv Bug isn't a big chewer, so @Macawnutz made a Smorgasboard out of balsa for her! I thought they only came in pine.


And Puffin got a beautiful side-mount toy with thin cross-cut pine and fun shreddables that was at least half as big as Buzzard's toy!

Buzzard wasted no time and dug right in! (That toy is as big as he is!!)


Luv Bug was a little hesitant, but started snipping off tiny bits of cork to ant shortly after I took this picture:


Puffin needed more convincing. She was so curious she got really close to it right away, but was nervous and put her head down asking for scritches.

She kept walking away from it and going immediately back until she was brave enough to try a corner. By that evening, several corner had been sampled.

Has buzz graduated to bigger wood now?

He can chew bigger wood, but he just doesn't. If it's much thicker than that he will tear up a few pieces but the rest will sit in his cage. Yes, my macaw likes thin, soft wood and the M/L or "conure" size zupreem instead of the large. Leave the big baby alone.
