Baby squirrel almost dead brought to the clinic. Techs came over for nails this morning and sent me pictures. Done bottle feeding now. Eats solids

Awesome! I too have never seen a black squirrel!

I think the squirrels we mostly know here are non native and have pushed out the black squirrels in most areas. We don't have any on my side of town but I've seen them in outskirts and nearby city's before. They are more common across the river in Washington.

Tech says the baby freaks her out with her sleeping positions and she has to wake her up to make sure she’s still alive!

Here's a picture of a black squirrel. They're so common around here! I took this picture October 12, in my parents' yard. Incidentally, the grey squirrels are the same species; there are two naturally occurring colour morphs.
