Budgies live in big flocks and have a strong flocking instinct. Poor kiddos are easily hurt by other parrots.

I have a potentially male cockatiel currently doing quratine in my office. I will bring him back once he hit the week 5 mark. He will be kiki's friend. We used to have another budgie,but he passed away 2 months ago.Even with the other budgie present, he still prefer the lovebirds Maybe because the lovebirds are both females.

They do occasionally. But because it is wood, it is not slippery enough. And they also like to hold on to the edge and walk down.

I try to find the biggest one. And this work amazing! It is actually a boots tray. I used to use a plate, but i found it too small and the lovebirds are so irritated by him being so close. So i got them a bigger one, but kiki is still trying to be right next to them.
