(Apologies if this is located in the wrong place, I am unfamiliar with forums.)

My Eclectus -ICP- has been making the head movement periodically over the last two days.
I have only had her for about a year, but in that time I have never noticed her doing this particular movement before?
She is in a breeding phase, but I have not been able to find anything about whether this is related.
She doesn't make any sounds when doing this, just the movement.
Any help or advice is very much appreciated. :)

Hiya. It does look odd to me. Also her beak looks like it needs attention. I think a vet visit is in order. What's her diet like? Are you also seeing any wing flipping or toe tapping movements?

She has an appointment in a couple of weeks but I was concerned because she began doing this.
She doesn't toe tap or wing flap. Not that I have seen.
As far as her diet she hasn't wanted to eat anything. I did manage to get her to eat some fruit out of my hand but she doesn't seem to want to eat on her own.
We are going to give the vet a call tomorrow and see if we can't get her in sooner...

Definitely! Not eating is something I would consider an emergency. Can you soak some pellets to mush for her? Or smashed sweet potato? It makes me think her beak is too painful or making it too difficult to eat properly.

So it appears the head shake was her attempting to throw up. Since she hadn't been eating she had nothing to expel.
She's had some fluids and is doing better. Talking and eating again.
Still unsure why exactly she was vomiting but hoping to get some results soon.

Did you get her in? Did the vet give her fluids?
Throwing up is never good.
Glad she's feeling a bit better though.

Did they say they'd be able to help with her beak? I'm really concerned about it too.
