Still deciding

Hey,
This might seem very quick but it's the only way to proces grieve and standing still to long looking at an empty cage.
Yesterday I had to put down Nuka (my linnie). Now looking into the fact if I still want a bird, if so a linnie or something else. For sometime I always saw parrotlets as fun birdies, Dusky-billed Parrotlet.
Just reading on them give me alot of mixed answers, so wanted to question you guys.

Do they scream all day? I had lovebirds who would scream 24/7, so even in the middle of the night. There was no stopping it.

Do they produce alot of feather dust? I know linnies barely produced any.

Can they be housed together or better alone? Reading alot of things saying they can get territorial and fight with another parrotles.

there’s no right or wrong when olive died I missed having a gcc so much even though she wasn’t tame as such

It's very true. Only you know what's right for you.

I do suggest, a huge clean and disinfectant, especially if unknown, or infections.

Change air filter in home, in vacuum , toss broom and her new.

Toss all soft toys and perches that can't be disinfectanted.

Thank you, she wasn't sick though. Something was stuck in her somewhere in her air way. Getting it out would've been 1/2 or even 3 massive surgeries. That's why the vet said it would be better to put her down.

I think cage size is the key to them living together successfully. Well, personality match too. But I house two in a 31x20x40 cage and they really use the space to get away during snarky moments. I imagine if the cage were smaller that they'd feel cramped, and that's when bad things can happen.

I have a 69x45x60ish cage ^^
