As @Jas said - budgie mutations confuse me also... so when I just looked up Spangle mutation to see what they looked like, I found this little guy, identified as a PS1 Exhibition budgie Golden Faced Spangle Cock... Ain't he a doozy?

Gosh, I guess so... he's on exhibit! LOL, he looks a bit frightened, doesn't he? I wonder if they fluff out their feathers like grooming dogs when they show them?

Well if he is on exhibit he must be healthy! Tiels are my favorite but after taking in a found budgie at work and then getting him a friend...I love having them also.

I belong to a show budgie group on FB and found out that when you see unusual feather colors in a photo it can be because they use colored lighting. Both budgie are beauties.

They are just too cute! They’re definitely talking about something very serious - making up some secret plans, I’m sure.

I also love it when Budgies engage in a strange, up-close stare where their beaks are touching and they’re looking right in to each other’s eyes! It’s like, “Okay, ummm, what’s going on?”.

Most of their beak to beak conversations occur over the seed bowl. We need a budgie translator!
