So I might have to sell my horse We can't afford board any more. I love him so much. He was my first horse and I learned alot from him. He saved my life...literally. I was having a jumping lesson and it was super hot(like 100 and something degrees) And I was having a heat stroke since it was soooo hot. And Sonny(my horse) knew. He stopped in the middle of the arena and just wouldn't move. My trainer didnt understand that I was sick so she was yelling at Sonny and all he did was walk away from her then stop. And just stayed there. If he didn't stop I would have fainted. But he stopped in the just in time. I really don't want to sell. Im just hoping for a miracle...

He is a very special horse. He always paces back and forth around the same time everyday cause he wants to got to his stall. And when your riding him if he really wants to canter or is thirsty he will bob his head up and down. People would tell me to hit him when he does that or slap him with the reins. But they just don't realize that he trys and communicate with us humans. If I sell him would if his new owner doesn't believe me and listen to those people!

He's gorgeous. Can you sell anything until you can catch up? Can you barter work for him to stay there? Think outside the box. Can you move him to another facility? Can you share him with somebody else who wants to ride or show and can help with room and board?

Ginger, I have been trying to think of things to sell but none of my things are worth money...I tried to sell things but I would only get like $15 for them. I was going to talk to the barn owner but she isn't very willing. And I am into Natural Horsemanship so I don't do shows. But I did use to share him with someone and it was HORRIBLE!!! They messed up our saddle lost our breastcollar and Sonny did NOT like it. They put the bridle on wrong(at that time I wasn't in Natural Horsemanship) and it was just horrifying. Our barn is the cheapest that is in our area We have 3 different businesses and none of them are doing to well...
