I think we are mixing masked Lovebirds up with green cheek conures.Ahem.... Unless you mean the normal color.

Your picture misled me. And I have never heard of a black cheeked lovebird. I did have a rare purple green cheek conure for a while. Thanks to her using her chili covered cuttle bone as a towel after her bath.Oh I have a masked lovebird too

Black cheeked are Agapornis nigrigenis
Masked lovebirds are Agapornis personatus

I've been doing it too, and I figured Brian knows what he's talking about but we are opposite sides of the country so I thought maybe we had different colloquial names.In the Netherlands we only use the scientific names. Easy for us!
