Shadrat died today.

Our rat was at least 3 years maybe more. He lived a sweet long healthy life. lot of us cried....over a rat. He was the snuggliest animal we ever had. He loved scritches. I should have had him put down a couple months ago as I knew he was dying, but I jsut couldn't. I made his life pretty posh. He was a good rat.

Mariec, rats are great pets for kids. They don't bite and they are so smart. They love to be around other animals too. We have had many pet rats. Dad says no more for the kids, but I think he just can't handle them dying after we get attached.
