I'm fairly certain that it's her(?) cere.

That's the color that the female's cere turns during the nesting season. I'd assume that it's healthy.

It looked more vibrant in that image, but I suppose that is probably just a genetic thing. Either way, cute birbs

It's normal, sometimes they're smooth, shiny and pale brown, sometimes they go all thick and crusty and a really dark brown. My two females that are bonded don't go into breeding condition, so their beaks are always pale blue on one and pale blue fading into pink on the other. <3

There can be quite a bit of variation in female cere color, that's for sure.

Sam's cere has been this colour since she was about 9 months. She will be 2 years old in April. It's a normal female mature cere colour. It deepens and lightens a small bit but has always remained brown.

My baby (9 almost 10 month old) Green Cheek Conure Normal. He loves scritches, sunflower seed and showers. He can whistle, talk and much more and is the best first birb I could ask for!
