Managed to get Sam preening Scout without Sam's camera radar kicking in..the upside down preen is impressive.
May I ask what the red dot on her nose is? (Excuse me for not using the bird nose term, my mind is blank)

It's normal, sometimes they're smooth, shiny and pale brown, sometimes they go all thick and crusty and a really dark brown. My two females that are bonded don't go into breeding condition, so their beaks are always pale blue on one and pale blue fading into pink on the other. <3

Sam's cere has been this colour since she was about 9 months. She will be 2 years old in April. It's a normal female mature cere colour. It deepens and lightens a small bit but has always remained brown.
