I want to make my own Get-A-Grip net for my sun conure. I'm getting the supplies from

Rope, Twine, Laces, Cord, etc.

I ordered rope from her once and she was really nice. She resended me the rope because it was raining and the rain got into the box and the food coloring came off and turned black. Anywhoo, what size and kind of rope do I use? I think I'll get the sisal. But its not thick enough, I think. So which one is the best? Thanks! :hug8:

I don't know anything about making nets, but I definately would not go with seagrass. It is easily ripped and more of a shreddable toy, in my experience. Wouldn't want to put all that effort into making a net, just to have it last a day or two. My guys love it, it's great for making toys with.

Hemp is the toughest of the ones you mentioned. Sisal is rough on the hands when tying knots.

I'd go with hemp, especially *if* your Sun like to chew.

I always recommend sisal just because with a net it keeps the shape better and doesnt sag like the hemp and cottom rope.
