So I’m moving into a place with a White Russian short hair and she is quick to go in my room any pointers to protect my bird or is there a screen or some kind of blocker that I could get to protect my green cheek conure. Any pointers or suggestions please. How to make this work

Making that work would involve not letting the cat into the same room as your conure, even if the conure is in their cage.

You could try to put a baby gate up in the doorway (so that it can be there even when the door is closed), preferably one you have to step over. It will buy you an extra moment to close the full door behind you as the cat will need to calculate the jump before she tries to clear it.

Closed door, with a lock.
Only way to keep your bird safe.
A cat, especially one not brought up with birds, will find a way.
Sorry to be a downer, but unless there is no access, your bird is in danger.
Even just the sight of a cat watching, is hugely stressful.
