Just found out our first foster bird is back because the people who adopted him didn't take good care of him. I wish I had room to bring him back in. I am glad he is back since they were mistreating him. I pray he finds his perfect forever home soon.

I live in a double wide mobile home, do you think 3 macaw cages are too many for the kitchen? Hee hee, plus the lilac crown is in here too.

Yeah, he is back at the rescue. That is at least good.

He is such a cool B&G, he would do the chicken dance with my daughter, and swear at my son. LOL

I just love macaw personalities.

Yeah back on the other forum, before this one. People really advised against us getting one, being our first bird. I was totally new too birds, still am very much a novice. I understand the concerns, but I went with my gut. What I wasn't prepared for was just how much I would really love birds. I have always been an animal person, but birds totally amaze me. We also have a lilac crowned amazon that we foster. He's pretty precious too. A tad sassy.

What I love about Macaws. You must earn their trust and respect. They will not tolerate well being bullied around. You may get bullied right back. But once that trust is given and returned the relationship you have is amazing. It must always be earned.
