Hal is not improving. He's sad and lonely since Jazz died. I found a bird with the same physical characteristics as Jazz on Kijiji. Picked him up yesterday. He'll be upstairs in a quasi quarantine for at least a couple of weeks.

Poor little Hal, I hope he hangs in there. It's so sad when one fid loses their OH - there's no way to explain it even when we do show the the deceased's body and tell them what has happened. I for trying, John.

Well I'm pretty positive how Hal will react. He will be right over there putting the move on him. It's just a matter of whether the budgie is receptive and given past experience and the flock dynamics here, they will almost surely buddy up very quickly. ScooterX (now named ) is very healthy looking and about 2 years old. Same bird in a hotter, quicker, younger package.

I suppose. When the cockatoos shut up for a minute. Which isn't often. And then there's Mr. Chirpy. As the name implies, he chirps a lot. ScooterX is pretty quiet right now.

He's doing great. Getting spoiled right up like the rest of them.

Hal is so pretty. What kind of bird is Hal? He doesn't look like a budgie.
Did you consider getting the same type of bird for him or do you think a budgie is better?
I do hope the new budgie & Hal will become buddies.
