I'm relieved the lump is nothing to worry about but very sad about her eye. If it were my dog I would wait as long as possible to have the other eye removed as long as you don't feel she is in pain. I've had a few dogs in my life and I could always tell when they were uncomfortable and in pain because I knew them very well. They do not hide it as well as birds do. If you know Rocky well also you might want to let your 'doggie instincts' help with your decision as well as your doctor's good advice.

Thanks, yes, the lump is just a lump thank goodness. Im doing what you suggested. I KNOW when my dog is in pain and she can still see a bit. I have decided. The specialist is what knows best I think, he deals with it every day and he knows what he’s doing, I trust him. So thanks, you have helped. Im waiting until it gives her pain and needs to come out.

Great news about the lump. Hmmm... it is a confusing issue concerning the eye. I would think that even tough dogs can hide pain, if her eye was really bothering her she would show some sign such as hiding, pawing it, panting, shivering. Talk to the opthalmologist vet and tell him your concerns.
It is very hard to see our babies suffering. I wish rocky much love and hugs. Prayers coming her way. Hugs to you too!

Yes, it is but when she is in pain she is quiet and kind of hides and is lethargic. I’ve seen her in pain with her eye and when the pressure was up and we rushed her into London and he pressure reading was sky high. So I do know when my baby is in pain.

Thanks Judy and Marie and Miriam, I appreciate it.

I'm so glad the lump turned out to be fatty. It really is pretty common in older dogs. I'm sorry about the eye tho. Hope all works out well.:hug8:
