Samson was an M2 at TGF. I don't know how old he was, but I do know that he had broken his leg long before he came to TGF. Since it had been broken for so long, it didn't heal quite right. He always favored it, and had a modified cage.
I would make it a point every Tuesday, if he wasn't outside, to take him out of his cage and go to the lobby and sit with him. He would tuck his head under my chin, and make soft cooing noises, while I preened his head & neck feathers.
Yesterday he was found dead in the outside flight. A Necropsy is going to be done to find out what happened.
I will miss him terribly. I dearly love all of the birds at TGF, but there are a few that hold a special place in my heart. Samson was one of them.
RIP my dear sweet Samson.....no more pain, no more cages, fly high and be happy & free, I will miss you so much.
