RIP Bonnie :(

Bonnie was my beautiful little girl mouse. She's been struggling with just being an old mouse for awhile now, and today I found she lost her battle. Looks like she just gave out. While I'm sad, my darling was over two years old and it was her time.

I got her on mothers day 2008 when she was just an itty-bitty thing. She was so tiny and so flexible that she could fit through the small spacing on a mouse cage. Since we had to do some creative thinking to put her on lockdown, that's how she got the name Bonnie after the criminal duo Bonnie and Clyde.

The most special thing about Bonnie is that she never ever bit. She was the most gentle creature on Earth. I'll miss you darling.

Bonnie is the black-and-white mouse. Her buddy Coco was already waiting for her on the Rainbow Bridge.

No matter how small our special pets are, they all have their place in our lives. It hurts just as much when the time comes to say goodbye, and it is really upsetting that that time is so small.
My son has hampsters and their life span is just about the three year mark, with a bit longer with good husbandery and luck on their side.
We mourn the passing of each one,and it does not get any easier. Then the time we have known them is so precious and they are all so different and special.So sorry that Bonnie has gone, but you will have the lovely memories of knowing her. God bless.

Mice are special creatures! I used to have two girlies myself. They are so sweet and so smart. I'm so sorry about Bonnie... at least she's with her buddy CoCo now.
