Yuk. I hope that doesn’t mean more eggs for you. Im currently eggless for 5 days. Yesterday she got up underneath a paper towel and that got her kind of excited. Im hoping that didnt break my streak. According to her poop im not convinced shes done. When shes in egg laying mode her poop is watery and poop is in fact still watery.
Best of luck to the both of us.

if you mentioned it i missed it. Did you decided on powder of liquid calcium supplement?

My youngsters have been at it for months - no eggs luckily (Ade is the one with the deficiency issues)

Though, I was sitting here reading this thread this morning, and I heard my partner behind me saying, "oh an egg" :wideyed: :dead: Lapis has laid one on her cork perch. We had "strangers to the birds" people over last night and the football was on, so I am surprised w¡she laidwith all the commotion.
Been having issues since Christmas with her and hormones and laying. The egg is stuck in a nook in the cork, so I will replace it with a dummy later and see what happens.. :(

Did she lay it ok? How is she doing?
I had her out yesterday and she would go back in her cage every now and then to peck around the floor with her tail in the air. Of course i know what that means. I wasnt 100% sure she had an egg to lay because usually shes really vocal when she going to lay one. I put her back in her cage for her nightly snack and i went on to vacuum. I came back in the room and there was an egg. I will assume she had no difficulty laying it. I wasnt out of the room very long. One day short of a week being eggless.
It was 2 days since she got up under the paper towel, as i mentioned before. Apparently it doesnt take much to trigger her, if in fact thats what made it happen.
I took the egg out of the cage right away. Not usually what i do but i have to change things up……..apparently.

She went back to her normal self after her “cool down” i call it. Lol
After laying an egg she’ll stand tall with her wings slightly away from her body for a couple of minutes. I dont know if all birds do that but she does it every egg.

God love her. Shes such i sweetheart.

My lovie girls do this. They freeze for a minute or two in a strange position.

First of all, im glad youre home.
I went on a 6 day eggless streak then she laid 3 eggs. I threw away the eggs as soon as she laid them. Right now im on day 10 with no eggs. (longest streak all year). She hasnt been chewing at her mineral block so im to assume she has no intentions of laying an egg anytime soon. I checked my records and it was early August when she quit laying for a few months last year.
