Reflooring With Birds

So I have nine rescue-birds: Four Conures, Four Parakeets and an African Grey. My parents are obsessed with the idea of refinishing the hardwood floor which I have concerns about the fumes hurting my babies. They also want to redo the tile. Is there anything in that process that could hurt my birds as well? They also want to repaint the inside and outside of the house which again, I’m concerned about the paint-fumes. What can I do to protect my birds? Am I going to have to board them? I’m going to miss them if this remodeling process is going to take long.

Boarding will be your best option with all of that painting and sealing going on. It would be almost impossible for you to keep track of all of the components of all of the products being used.
