I recently adopted a 9 year old Rüppell’s female. She was so friendly from the moment she hopped out of her cage and allows me to hold her and snuggle

If the round cage is hers, keep an eye on her. Multiple birds have had injuries and/or lost toes by getting them caught where the bars come together. If it were me, I'd replace it.
