Physical Location in Detroit

Hello, I am going to be visiting Detroit Michigan (Clinton township) over Thanksgiving weekend. I HAVE to find a place to visit and see birds. Does anyone have some store suggestions or is there an event going on in the area?
I will be going for 5 days without seeing a bird or bird toy
So, if you know of anyplace - please help!!
