Hello to everyone. :)
Pasha loves pancakes. I made pancakes for Pasha so that he could eat more comfortably.
1 egg
1 cup of whole wheat flour
Less than half a glass of apple juice
2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 teaspoons of maple syrup
Half a teaspoon of baking powder

Q-- bet you ate some? ! How about adding a large pinch of grated carrot to one of his pancakes when they're on the grill? Or some chopped nuts? Etc...
[My hubby likes Blueberries cooked in his... :cheekkiss:]

I know I'm a bit late jumping on this thread, but I would love to make tiny pancakes for my budgies! I bought them almond flour to bake with and it's quite expensive lol. Do you know if I could just sub the whole wheat flour in this recipe with almond flour? Thanks :)

It doesn't matter if it's late. Of course, you can also make it with almond flour.:heart2:

As long as everything is 'bird-OK', should work... using the WW flour I think will make it a little heavier/ more solid than using the almond flour. So you might want to add an extra amount of the wet ingredients [applesauce, etc].

When I used to make the birdie bread, [when I had alot more mouths to feed]-- I'd add a little cornmeal, oat flakes, applesauce, banana, frozen vegies, cantaloupe seeds, sunflower seeds, chia, nut pieces...
Little bit of everything... or not. Trying to remember if I added any spices [cinnamon, etc].
