Please help- pain relief -

My sweet Cockatiel Alfie hit the glass window hard-

a silhouette of his body imprinted the glass- see the illlusion.

My cockatiel who normally is not flighted- took off and flew hard into the window.
I notice his beak is cracked - not off, and I now see his wing is uneven. He appears to be in pain.

I do not have a vet nearby. I am mail my concerned about the pain and his wing being down-

no comments on how I should have clipped wings- I was away- and my husband let him out. I normally clip his wings-

Thanks for helping re: pain releif

Keep him quiet and warm and probably in a darkened area so he'll roost and relax. The spot I see on his beak looks like normal flaking and wear and tear to me and his eyes look soft like he's happy so hopefully he's not very hurt. I don't know what to suggest for pain and you might have to get it at the vets or a big bird store anyways but I'm sure others will jump in with suggestions besides take him to the vet if you can.

No one here that I can think of would encourage you to clip. They’d encourage you to place decals or covers over dangerous things like glass and mirrors. Clipped birds are never safer than flighted birds who are allowed to learn how to fly well.
I don’t see anything wrong with his beak in the pics provided, looks normal to me.

Keep him calm quiet and warm and keep an eye on him. Try to limit any chance to fly till you at least see him stretching and holding the wind correctly.

Can’t recommend anything for pain as that would require a vet for a script and correcting dosing-

Bonking into something isn't good, but if it's any consolation it doesn't take much force for a cockatiel to leave a dust print. I agree that his beak looks normal. If he is alert, eating and drinking he probably didn't hit his head too much.

I've had birds hold their wings for a few hours after crash landing or having a night fright and they were OK afterward. Keep an eye on him - if he is able to move it to preen he might have just strained it. If he shows signs of not being able to move it at all I would be worried about a break.
