for those of you who don't know his story..my FIL had two canaries and a finch for years...Fletcher did not have a name ..he once had a mate and she died..he was alone in his cage for about 4 years....my FIL purchased two canaries..Charlotte (orange) & Terrible Tweets (yellow) Terrible Tweets plucked Charlotte nearly bald so my FIL took Charlotte o ut of the cage and put her in with Fletcher...this is a big no no..however, in this case it worked out as they became friends...and Fletcher was not alone any more....My FIL was losing it mentally before he died and one day my hubby caught him as he was about to release them all into the wild...needless to say they came downstairs they now have names, they now have toys they play with & hubby noticed that Fletcher is crippled..so he built 2 platforms for him..Fletcher is now 10--ancient for a finch..he sure loves his broccoli, brown rice and peas. and his lady love Charlotte..they are all doing so well...I love this little guy so much..he is a trooper..and now he is a birdie with a name. http://
