I think @Shezbug has this cage for their Macaw? They might be able to provide some insight.
You can't really go 'too small' with bird cage bar spacings, unless it's so tiny they'll get their toes stuck. My main concern would be the gap where the divider is (unless it's staying in the cage) :)

Yes that too. I will be taking that out because the pair are bonded.

I'm unsure about the 2.5cm bar spacing. @DoubleTake may know, he has 2 Suns :)

The recommended bar spacing for sun conures is 5/8 inch (1.5 cm) to 3/4 inches (1.9) . 2.5cm (.98 inches) would be considered too wide based on my research (I have been studying sun conures but do not have one).

I would say 3/4 inch bar spacing max. At one inch they probably be able to squeeze their head, maybe their whole body, through the bar which you don't want. My current corner cage is 3/4 inch. My boys have some thick heads compared to other Suns I've seen come into the bird store.

I'd be careful with 1/2inch bar spacing if its from a no name brand. In my experience bars are usualy thinner than a 3/4 cage. After 4 years my boys ripped the bars off the bottom of their cheap 1/2 sleep cage.

I Recently bought this for their sleep cage, they share the top cage, my lovebird gets the bottom one. 1/2 inch bar spacing.

I really wish they would make more large cages with 1/2" or 5/8" bar spacing. I have two of the same 32"x21" cages for my 'tiels with 1/2" spacing and I love the cage but there are so few choices in that size range or larger.

This is the biggest one could find with 1/2 inch bar spacing. It is 23 wide by 37 long and 60 in height. I really like it and so does my GCC. It is $239 (on sale now) C268EFE1-738F-4465-B7B1-45B6C12BB4C2.png

I did not paint it, the cage came that way, the color is called "silver vien". Unfortunately I do not have a link of the cage I own since I bought it at my local bird store is southern California. I'll double check the bat spacing of my cage when I visit the bird store tomorrow. I can ask about shipping too if you are in the states.

The cage you linked, 185cm xxl, is a lot bigger than mine but the bar spacing is good. This one is similar size to my bird cae but I am unfamiliar with the brand.
